Boost Pressure Control Valve
A turbo boost pressure control valve, also known as a turbo pressure solenoid valve, is a device that regulates the level of boost generated from a turbocharger’s intake manifold. It works by controlling the air pressure that opens the wastegate actuator so that the boost pressure is properly developed before it is released. Without a turbo boost solenoid valve, the wastegate can open and release the boost before the desired pressure is achieved, which can increase turbocharger lag and negatively affect the threshold of boost onset. Luckily, TurboTurbos can help prevent this problem with our selection of turbo boost pressure control valves. Our units can be used on both stock and upgraded turbo units for a variety of vehicles.
